The Natural Bridge is located in central Virginia and is considered to be one of the seven wonders of the world. At 215 feet in height and 90 feet in width, it is a truly awe-inspiring sight! As you approach the center along the stream, you can feel the cool calm of the water as it trickles along beneath the arch. Thomas Jefferson purchased the Natural Bridge from King George III in 1774 for 20 shillings. George Washington also surveyed Natural Bridge and even left his initials on the inner wall of the arch. A traditional Easter sunrise service is held every Easter morning that is very popular with visitors and local residents.
