Delightfully frolicking in the water, this brave little dolphin adorns the fountain at the Lynchburg Produce Market on Main Street. Originally at the foot of Monument Terrace in Lynchburg, Virginia during the late 1920's, this fellow was placed into storage where he was discovered about 50 years later. His constant splashing and trickling of water adds to the market's environment. You can almost hear the water pouring over the oxidized bronze as well as get the urge to run your fingers over the wet looking surface of his mouth!
